Testimonials

"Working at Whamos for the past 14 weeks has been absolutely enjoyable and rewarding. I’ve learned some new skills in today’s tech world, how to work together with my co-worker – teamwork – then on your own working. I've enjoyed going out locally to an ice cream parlour to take pictures of their business and them at work for the website we were designing at Whamos for them. Also going out locally to video different places around town.

I absolutely enjoyed doing a project we did for Millom and Around the Combe Community Group – putting together a question and answer page, then going there to film it. But the difficult part was using the video editing app – it was very time-consuming. Doing web design was an interesting one to do, but there are so many parts to putting a website together.

Recently, I've enjoyed seeing and working out how phones and iPads go together and taking them apart. Overall, a good experience."

"My time learning with Whamos has been challenging, but also filled with learning experiences. I now feel confident in using Da Vinci Resolve for editing and colour grading. Learning about cameras and shooting videos was mainly through Lexie, who effectively communicated how to use the hardware and software. Most recently, I’ve been spending a lot of time learning the powerful 3D modelling software, Blender."
